This is where tweaking recipes can be fun. I've become a huge fan of dump cake and I enjoy changing ingredients to see what else I can make. This latest version was worthy of adding here.

My fiancée recently told me about some lemon-blueberry bars she had for breakfast from a nearby eatery, and I thought it might make an intriguing variant for dump cake. It turned out quite tasty I thought.

Notes from Amy: "I got this recipe from my mom, who got it from Jeanne Munz, her colleague on the faculty of Etiwanda High School. The name I gave them is what somebody said about them when I brought them to Farpoint Fest in December 2007."

I had some (OK, a LOT) of these when Amy brought them to the Deadpan Mmmmmm BBQ event held at the Love Long and Prosper Studios on Labor Day weekend 2009. They were absolutely delicious! Thank you Amy for letting me share the recipe!

I discovered this recipe before Thanksgiving and made it for desert then and for Christmas Eve and night parties. It was a hit at all three events! This is so easy to make -- the hardest part is waiting for it to cook!

I was experimenting with my xmas rum ball recipe. I pondered making rum balls with Blue Curaçao instead of rum. I also skipped the cocoa and substituted honey for the dark corn syrup.

Well, this did not make blue/smurf balls as I'd hoped. This dough ended up being a pale green. I tried adding extra blue food coloring, but it barely touched teal, and I was afraid to add anymore dye.

The real tragedy is that this tasted great and I did not want to waste it. The Curaçao gave it a wonderful orange citrus flavor. Then, well, I can only blame this on the alcohol, but I decided I would call this Adult Play-Dough! Now you CAN play with your food!
